Forward-Testing Paper Trading Account

The diagram below shows the paper trading account balance since August 1st, 2025. This corresponds to the trades shown in the Trades-section of this web-site. The account starts with $10,000 and uses 33% per asset per trade. In each trade, 7.5% of the traded amount are risked. Additionally, the balance for a Buy & Hold account is shown. The Buy & Hold account purchased BTC, ETH and SOL (33 % each) at the closing price of August 1st, 2025. The data points for the Buy & Hold account are shown on a weekly basis.

The diagram below shows the account drawdown.

The individual trades are listed in the table below. Fees are already included in the „Balance After“ column values. Taxes, if applicable, would apply and would be included in the beginning of the next year’s first trade. For transparency: The strategy first included HBAR as well. This asset is not considered anymore but the results from 01/08/2025 are kept to show the actual unfiltered performance.

Note that the account size is only updated, once trades are closed at the time a new trade is opened, since overlapping trades are possible.
